I completely agree Heather...100%. We could have gotten a good deal on some cheaper granite but I think granite has gone from the beautiful add-on...to the norm and it's just not my fav. But I'm loving how much warmth and comfort butcherblock adds to a kitchen. Especially a white kitchen.

I really like butcher block counter tops. People are so hooked on granite, but (to me), if it's not REALLY nice granite, it's just ugly.
